What changes from town to town
Older Fort Collins, Loveland and Greeley neighborhoods have clay and cast-iron sewer lines and galvanized supply pipe; newer Windsor, Timnath, Johnstown and Erie subdivisions sit on expansive clay soils that stress sewer lines and basements. Rural Weld County homes often rely on wells and septic systems. Every town shares long freezes that split exposed pipes and sprinkler lines.
