Hydro-jetting
Hydro-jetting sends high-pressure water through a drain or sewer line to scour grease, scale, sludge and fine roots off the pipe walls. It cleans the full diameter of the pipe rather than boring a hole through the blockage, which makes repeat clogs less likely.

Cable machines are fine for most single clogs. Jetting is better for grease-heavy kitchen lines, restaurant drains and root-infested sewer lines after the roots have been cut.
A camera inspection before jetting confirms the pipe is sound enough; badly cracked clay or collapsed lines need repair, not jetting.

Can hydro-jetting damage pipes?
On sound pipe it's safe; on cracked or collapsed pipe it can make damage worse, which is why a camera inspection comes first.
How often should a main line be jetted?
Only as needed. Lines with recurring roots may benefit from maintenance every one to two years until repaired.
